Website & online services

Digital accessibility

Information pursuant to Section 14(1)(2) of the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz – BFSG) in conjunction with Annex 3 BFSG.

Last updated: 17 July 2026

Scope

This information relates to the digital services provided to consumers by Mokni’s Palais Hotel & SPA KG via www.moknis.com and the associated booking and ordering systems.

These include in particular:

  • searching for and booking hotel rooms and packages online,
  • purchasing value vouchers online,
  • information, selection, contact and ordering functions associated with these services.
01

General description of the services

Our website allows guests to find information about Mokni’s Palais Hotel & SPA, our rooms and packages, as well as services and prices.

The online booking system linked to our website allows guests to check availability and prices for a selected travel period and then book available rooms or packages.

Via our linked voucher shop, value vouchers can be selected, personalised and ordered online. They are provided in accordance with the conditions selected during the ordering process.

02

How the services are provided

Online booking of a hotel stay

For an online booking, the desired travel period and the number of guests are selected first. The booking system then displays the rooms, packages and prices available for that period.

After selecting an offer, the contact details required for the booking and – depending on the selected rate – additional booking or payment information are entered.

Before the booking is submitted, the selected services and information are summarised again. Once the booking has been completed successfully, a booking confirmation is provided.

Online purchase of a value voucher

In the voucher shop, the desired value voucher and voucher amount are selected first. Depending on the offer, the voucher can then be personalised.

The information required for the order, invoice and payment is then entered. Before the order is completed, the selected services, price and information entered are displayed again.

Once the order has been completed successfully, an order confirmation is provided and the voucher is delivered in the format selected during the ordering process.

Support & alternative contact options

If you need assistance with the online booking system or voucher shop, you can contact us by telephone or email.

A hotel booking can alternatively also be requested and made by telephone or email.

Meeting accessibility requirements

When designing and providing our digital services, we take into account the requirements of the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz – BFSG) and the associated regulation.

In technical terms, we are guided in particular by the requirements of the European standard EN 301 549 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at conformance levels A and AA, insofar as these apply to the services we provide.

Perceivable

Recognising content

  • Clear and logical heading and content structures.
  • Sufficient contrast for text and important controls.
  • Adaptation to different screen sizes and zoom levels.
  • Text alternatives for informative images and graphical controls.
  • Decorative elements are handled appropriately for assistive technologies.
  • Essential information is not conveyed by colour alone.
Operable

Using functions

  • Essential content and functions can be accessed by keyboard.
  • The currently focused element is displayed as clearly as possible.
  • Links and buttons are labelled in an understandable way.
  • The keyboard navigation order follows the content and visual order.
  • Unnecessary blinking and flashing effects are avoided.
  • Controls are designed to be clearly recognisable and selectable.
Understandable

Making orientation easier

  • Content, navigation and forms are labelled as clearly as possible.
  • Form fields have understandable labels and the required guidance.
  • Required fields are identified.
  • If incorrect information is entered, guidance is provided to identify and correct the error.
  • Recurring navigation elements are designed as consistently as possible.
Robust

Technical compatibility

  • Content is structured using appropriate semantic HTML elements.
  • Additional ARIA attributes are used where technically necessary.
  • The implementation is designed for common browsers and assistive technologies such as screen readers.
  • The name, role, state and purpose of relevant controls should be technically identifiable.

Integrated booking and ordering systems

We use technical systems provided by external service providers for online bookings and the voucher shop. When selecting, integrating and using these systems, we take the requirements of digital accessibility into account.

Some applications provide additional accessibility information or their own accessibility settings. Identified limitations are reviewed and, where necessary, forwarded to the relevant technical provider.

Quality assurance

Our digital services are regularly reviewed using manual checks and supporting technical testing tools. Findings from these reviews as well as feedback from users are incorporated into further technical and editorial development.

Hotel & stay

Accessibility at Mokni’s Palais Hotel & SPA

Due to our historic buildings and their structural characteristics, our hotel complex is not fully accessible in all areas. For guests who use a wheelchair or walking frame, or who require step-free access, choosing the right building and room is particularly important.

Building “Rossini”

For stays with specific accessibility requirements, the “Rossini” is the relevant building.

Double room 1 accessible room

In the “Rossini”, we have one accessible double room in the “Luxus” category.

In the “Rossini” Step-free & lift

The hotel areas relevant to your stay are step-free and accessible by lift.

Palais Thermal Step-free access is time-restricted

The bathrobe corridor is not accessible. Step-free access is only possible via the official main entrance during the regular opening hours.

Hotel building

“Rossini” building & accessible room

If you require step-free access, use a walking frame or wheelchair due to reduced mobility, the room choice should generally focus on the rooms in the “Rossini” building .

Step-free access The areas of the “Rossini” relevant to your stay are accessible without steps.
Lift available The relevant floors of the building can be reached by lift.
Sparkling wine breakfast buffet in the building The sparkling wine breakfast buffet for all hotel guests is also served in the “Rossini” building.
Important when choosing your room

One accessible double room

In the “Rossini” building, we have one accessible double room in the “Luxus” category.

Our single rooms are not accessible, but they all have a shower.

As only one suitable double room is available, we strongly recommend checking availability directly with us before booking.

Thermal spa

Accessibility at the “Palais Thermal”

Admission to the “Palais Thermal” is generally included in the room rate for our hotel guests during their stay.

Please note: the direct bathrobe corridor from the “Badhotel” building to the “Palais Thermal” is not accessible. Guests who use a wheelchair or walking frame, or who require fully step-free access, therefore use the official main entrance of the “Palais Thermal”.

This step-free access is only available during the regular opening hours of the thermal spa: Monday to Friday from 1:00 p.m. and Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 10:00 a.m.. The exclusive morning access times for hotel guests therefore unfortunately cannot be used if step-free access is required.

There are also several turnstiles within the thermal spa. These can present an obstacle, particularly for guests using a walking frame or wheelchair. The following solution is available:

1
Use the official main entrance

Step-free access is via the official main entrance of the “Palais Thermal” – Monday to Friday from 1:00 p.m. and Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 10:00 a.m.

2
Obtain a key

Guests who require it receive a key there for the relevant side entrances next to the turnstiles.

3
Bypass the turnstiles

With this key, the side entrances next to the turnstiles can be opened and used independently.

4
Lifts within the thermal spa

Lifts are available within the “Palais Thermal” and provide access to various levels of the thermal spa.

Please note before booking

Even with these arrangements, we cannot guarantee unrestricted accessibility to every area of the historic “Palais Thermal”. Please therefore discuss any individual requirements with us before your stay.

Dining

Lunch & dinner

Especially for guests with reduced mobility, we would also like to point out clearly that Mokni’s Palais Hotel & SPA does not offer half board and does not have its own lunch or dinner service.

Our sparkling wine breakfast buffet is served in the “Rossini” building. For lunch and dinner, our guests can use the bistro in the connected “Palais Thermal” thermal spa and/or the many family-run restaurants in the immediate area, many of which are within walking distance.
