Hiking in the Black Forest around Bad Wildbad

Bad Wildbad lies in the valley of the Große Enz and can easily be combined with a hike up the Sommerberg. If you would like to shorten the climb, you can take the Sommerbergbahn funicular instead. At the top, forest trails can be combined with popular attractions such as the treetop walk and the WILDLINE suspension bridge.

The fairy-tale trail begins at the tower of the treetop walk on the Sommerberg. The approximately 3.2 km circular trail has ten stations in total. At nine of them, an audio play tells Wilhelm Hauff’s fairy tale “Das kalte Herz”.

The Aichelberger Traumtour is a varied quality hiking trail through the countryside around Aichelberg. The circular route combines natural paths, the Kälbertal valley, woodland and scenic elevated plateaus.

• Ascent: approx. 519 metres.
• Suitable as a longer day hike for walkers with a good basic level of fitness.

This circular hike in the Kleine Enz valley follows varied trails through the woodland around the Riesenstein. Places along the route include the Butterhütte and Riesensteinhütte.

• A good basic level of fitness and sure-footedness are recommended.

A peaceful hike through the romantic Kälbertal valley in the Northern Black Forest. Following the Kälberbach stream, the route leads through quiet woodland and valley scenery before returning along hiking and forestry trails.

• Ideal for nature lovers looking for a quieter walk.

A short circular hike starting at Lindenplatz in Bad Wildbad-Calmbach. The path leads out of the village and up into the forest, follows the hillside and then returns to Calmbach.

• Ascent: approx. 102 metres.
• Well suited to a shorter hike.

The Sulzkar is a distinctive natural landscape with striking rock formations. The circular hike leads from the Lautenhof to the Sulzkar, continues towards the Grünhütte and returns through the forest to the starting point.

A nature-focused circular hike through the Eyach Valley. The route passes through peaceful valley scenery and returns along the Wasserweg directly beside the River Eyach.

• Ascent: approx. 99 metres.
• Particularly attractive thanks to its proximity to the water.

The Wildseemoor circular trail leads through the unique raised bog landscape of the Kaltenbronn nature and forest reserve. Moorland, woodland and tranquil waters make this hike a very special nature experience.

This historic circular trail runs around Sprollenhaus. Information boards along the way provide insights into the history and living conditions of the people of Sprollenhaus and the surrounding settlements, as well as former forestry and agricultural practices.

• The trail is marked with the “Sprollenhäuser Hut” symbol.

An unusual combination of a hike and treasure hunt on the Graf-Eberhard-Wanderweg. The route leads from Bad Wildbad up to the Riesenstein and then continues through the forest to the Kleinenzhof.
