Winter in the Forest

A St. Nicholas Surprise for the AnimalsWinter is always a special time for animals, too. But not because they look forward to Christmas with hot cocoa and cookies like we humans do, but because they have to go out into the cold, often snow-covered forest in search of food. So, to celebrate St. Nicholas Day today, there’s a food surprise in store for the animals. We’ll make food cones for forest birds, squirrels, and other wildlife, and take them straight into the forest, where we’ll decorate a tree with them. Let’s see which animals show up first to enjoy them.
