Puppet Show: The Story of Little Uncle

In a big city, a girl lived with her mother in a huge high-rise building, all the way up under the roof. The girl would have loved to have a dog, but her mother wouldn’t let her. She loved nothing more than to sit by the window and watch everything happening down on the street. A man lived in the same building. From above, he looked very small, so she called him “Little Uncle.” The man was very lonely. He would have loved to have a friend. Nobody liked him, even though he was kind and friendly. That made him very sad. In his desperation, he posted notes everywhere that read: “Little lonely uncle looking for a friend.” Then he waited.

One beautiful spring day, a dog ran up to him and tenderly rested its cold nose in his hand… A gentle and heartwarming story about friendship and being different, told with few words and plenty of accordion music, based on the classic Swedish children’s book by Barbro Lindgren-Enskog.
