More Than Just a Romance—Two Decades of “Die Palastperlen”

In 2005, the Palastperlen performed for the first time at the Königliches Kurtheater. At that time, the venerable venue was just beginning to spruce itself up. The salon orchestra has witnessed countless renovations. With every guest performance, there was something new to marvel at. An addition, restrooms, seats, a grand piano, a new stage floor, and so on. On September 13, the Palastperlen will give their tenth concert in this gem of a venue, which has since been magnificently restored. Reason enough to put together a special program for the occasion. Experience a musical journey back in time to an era roughly 100 years ago. With ease and dynamism, they perform popular hits and lesser-known songs from an era marked by hardship, upheaval, and bleak prospects for the future—as well as by elegance and exuberant joie de vivre.
