Bears—what do we know today?
Lecture with Peter Sürth: We affectionately call him “Meister Petz”—and many of us may even have a teddy bear at home. But how safe would it be if, starting tomorrow, bears were roaming freely in the Black Forest? This idea is certainly an exaggeration, but in the southern part of Baden-Württemberg, bears could start appearing more frequently again in certain areas in the future. In this talk, you’ll learn where bears live in Europe, what experiences other countries have had with bears, and how Germany has changed since Bruno, who wandered into Bavaria in 2006. Learn how to react if you encounter a bear while hiking or on vacation—tips that will also help families stay safe and relaxed while out and about. Come by and ask your questions in a relaxed, informative setting.
