We’re helping the capercaillie with our hands and our minds
Vacation Program for the Whole Family: The capercaillie is the largest galliform bird in Europe and the heraldic animal of the Black Forest. In Germany, it is threatened with extinction and is listed on the “Red List.” Here in Kaltenbronn, a few capercaillies still live, and we want to work together to help them! After getting to know this rustic forest bird and learning what it needs to survive, we’ll put our hands and minds to work together. Whether with tools or just your hands, whether young or old, big or small, everyone can help create the right habitat for the capercaillie and thus ensure its continued survival.
